Camping is back and it is cool! No more two week holidays on the beach or lounging by the pool, everyone is packing up their camping tents and heading for the hills to get back to nature and eat tins of cold beans.
If you are of the faint hearted and like the comfort of a hotel then you are possibly a little reluctant to pack your sleeping bags and get out into the great outdoors. If this is about right, then we suggest some cool camping equipment to keep you looking hip and entertained on your trip. We have been scouring the web and here are our favourites.
Battery Powered LED Lantern – Light is a must. Without it you wouldn’t be able to see. An LED lantern will brighten up the whole tent and last a great deal longer than other lanterns.
Firestarter – No not the Prodigy, it is actually a fire starter which is basically a large striking stick made of stainless steel and a non slip handle. It is great for starting the camp fire and signal fires in case you need escaping from the bugs and insects attacking you at night.
A portable GPS reduces your chances of getting lost with a portable GPS. If you are lost in the woods, never fear as with a portable GPS you can find out exactly where you are and where you need to go.
Fishing can be a long, tedious (boring) sport particularly if you don’t catch anything. With a fish finder GPS you can locate and catch the fish you want. That way you don’t waste your time and spend more of it drinking beer and relaxing.
If you really are on a budget and can’t afford these luxury items, just make sure that you pack good camping sleeping bags, mattresses and pillows to ensure that you get a good night’s sleep as camping can really take it out of you!
